Other Vein Procedures
Stab Phlebectomy -
Removal of varicose veins through small
incisions,
usually 3-5mm in length under local anesthesia.
Sclerotherapy -
By using very small needles, a vein is "injected
with a solution that causes the vein
to become intensely inflamed. The vein is
then compressed with a flexible elastic bandage for 24-48
hours to keep the
vein collapsed so that it stays closed. This is a very
simple office procedure and is best
used for small "blemish" veins.
